I preferred joining the ACC back in the early 2000s because...


(a) we would be much closer to the geographic center of the conference with most games being a relatively easy drive away, and (b) thought the ACC was more academically focused than the SEC, which always seemed sort of "slimy" when it came to athletics. Not sure we could compete with SEC bagmen, before or after NIL.

My preference is the ACC finally get close to the SEC in per school revenue. Guess that will be relative, since the SEC is ESPN's favorites, and the ACC is their red-headed stepchild.

If the ACC implodes and we move to "mega-conferences," the SEC or B1X would be OK with me. I'm not against joining either, but feel we're a better fit in the ACC.
