You must have all of the following, else you are at risk of being left out:
1. Either 5+ Q1 victories or 3 Q1 victories with less than 5 Q1 losses.
2. Avg Net and computer rankings < 35.
3. A decent out of conference schedule.
4. A record of 4+ games above .500, and no more than 4 games below .500 in conference.
If you check all of those 4 boxes, you are a lock. If you do not check them all, you are at risk.
VT failed on #1, but we had #2, #3 and #4.
Rutgers was worthy of a bid despite failing miserably on #2.
Teas A&M failed on #2 and #3.
The issue is you never know what's important, so hit all 4 checkboxes, else you leave it to human discretion.
