NCAA thoughts

life and basketball keep getting in the way of this post

125/Latona. I think this is our most unpredictable spot. Not unthinkable that Sam could win 2, lose to Suriano, and then have a winnable blood round match (could theoretically be Camacho...or Prata...in that scenario, but Barnett if things went to seed in that part of the bracket). Of coure, it's also quite possible Sam loses to Schroder and has a very daunting slog to the possibility of AA. I'm going to be optimistic and say he slides into 8th.

133/Myers: Wow. Looks pretty likely that Korbin gets DeSanto in the quarters. Possibly my favorite current wrestler vs. least favorite. That could be epic and I like Korbin's chances to outsmart DeSanto (could be Phillippi too though...like that too). If he doesn't AA there, he probably gets Byrd. Regardless, I like Korbin's chances for 3rd.

141/Gerardi: Obviously he's not going to be a favorite anywhere as #28. Probably straight to the consis and hopefully can grab a win or 2 there.

149/Andonian: Hopefully a bonus first round in less than 7 mins, then Millner. Lost to him 2 years ago, I think it's different this time. Millner has only 1 loss this year, but hasn't faced much of a schedule. A win there gets him to Gomez. I haven't seen him, but he's been on a tear. A win there probably gets him Wilson again...not good. More likely, it's a loss and he's in the blood round vs. Murin (or maybe Gfeller.) I'm afraid it will be Murin and that won't go well either. I'll say no AA for Bryce but he'll score us some points. But obviously he's capable of putting anyone in serious danger and anything could happen.

157/Brady: Another 28. See Gerardi. Maybe a backside win or 2.

174/Lewis: I'm not gonna overanalyze. Chalk to a runner-up finish.

184/Bolen: Damn he has a tough draw. I think he'll get by Assad, but Brooks sends him to the consis. Probably a win there, but then he'd get Venz or Romero. And then obviously a tougher matchup if he somehow survives that. I'd love to see him find some magic in his last shot, but it seems unlikely.

285/Traxler: Some don't like the Miller rematch, but I think he's learned his lesson. Parris, however...not good. He then gets a couple winnable matches which would put him in the blood round against probably Hendrickson (or Kerkvliet). I've not seen Hendrickson and he's had an easy schedule but, wow, he's pinning or TF-ing everyone. Unfortunately, I think he'll come up short.

So 3 AA's and a couple near misses. Maybe 9th overall?
