Biggest difference is the bench contributions

There's not much drop off in execution when subs are in the game and resting the starters is huge during a tournament playing on consecutive days.

The bench was not ready to play early in the year, but they have improved throughout the year.

I would also say that VT is protecting the basketball better. Turnovers are a killer in basketball.
