I remember the last time we played for a BB champ


Last time we played for a BBal championship was 1973 NIT. I was at Mad Sq Garden in VTs “pep band” as a freshman and we beat Notre Dame. I think we won 4 games by a total of 5 pts (correction expected but all games were close). Never forget the Bobby Stevens shot with no time left.

One of my fondest memories and I actually have the LP record they made of the tourney.

It’s called “NITty Gritty Va Tech”. I’m on the LP playing cymbals for Highty Tighties.

Fingers crossed and so excited for this team.
