Some of the same things that impact our productivity at work and everyday life; family issues, relationship issues, energy, sleep, travel, schoolwork, etc. impact players too and maybe even to a greater extent. To think somehow they just shut that off and play like robots every game is not remotely realistic. All teams deal with this, Duke lost to UVA for heaven's sake at home. Teams play up and down, what gets you through it in the long haul is having better talent.
