Car: rattle rattle rattle rattle rattle. Driving me bonkers. Yeah, I know -

it's a short drive.

There is a rattle in the back of Geneva, my Honda Accord, and it's eluding detection. If you shook a coin in a tennis ball can back and forth deliberately and slowly at two gluks per second, it sounds like: Gluk gluk gluk gluk and so on.

It's coming from the back of the car, emanating from high up on the passenger rear seat side, and it isn't affected by speed, road conditions (smooth or bumpy), straight driving or turning, slow acceleration or fast, and it never increases or decreases in the frequency of the gluk gluk gluk gluks. It goes away sometimes but it comes back.

I have checked everything:
- in and under the back seats, seatbelts, fold-down cup holder arm in the back seat
- in the trunk: spare tire wheel well, jack and tire tools, latches, speaker mounts
- under and behind the right rear wheel with wheel removed, wheel well, splash guards under that side
- muffler, exhaust line or catalytic converter fasteners or parts
- all rear wheel suspension elements from tie rods to springs to flange bolts to damper mounting nuts to struts, knuckle, control arms and everything is tight and not rattling or rattle-able
- in the right rear door - anything and everything that is a handle or a latch or a push button or anything else

I'm going in for an oil change next week and a front brake job. If Honda finds it before the Lounge does, I'll be better prepared for the surprise or the shock of the repair $$. So what could it be?
