What's this?

It is the old coach's adage.....


"you should be more worried when I stop yelling at you than if I do yell at you." In the former it generally implies either they think you cannot do any better or they cannot change your behavior enough or fast enough to truly benefit the team/season while in the latter they view you as capable of more, maybe much more and they believe you can benefit the team with change.
