We went after the Belk Bowl (Kentucky) on NYE. It was...fine?


I was in a pretty bitchy mood because of the game and they had a couple of rides that kind of perked me up. I'd say it's a perfectly middling amusement park and probably worth it if you're going to be in the Charlotte area anyway (or live within a relatively easy drive). Not worth planning a specific trip from farther than 2-3 hrs away, though.

Can't stress enough that my review is biased by this being a thing we did *after* attending a football game that we *lost* in semi-catastrophic fashion. If somebody comes on here and tells you Carowinds is a significantly above average amusement park, believe that over my take.
