But because I want it to be VT who gives coach K his goodbye to the ACC with a loss.

It may be silly and petty, but I remember his “welcome” to the ACC when Duke shot 49 free throws and made sure to put up 100 points on us. I remember their half court winner to crush our upset on their court. I remember us winning on their court and K taking away from the celebration by telling our guys to act like they had been there before. I remember the real K. And I want to send him out with a memory of VT taking his final ACC game.
