Another factor is all the "one & dones". There will never be another 3-time


(or even 2-time) national player of the year like Sampson; no one will ever be hated as much as Christian Laettner; and so on. Now all the top players are gone after a year; so we will never get to know and appreciate (or despise) them like we used to. If Sampson, Worthy, Perkins, Jordan, Price, Laettner, Hurley, Duncan, etc. etc. etc. had only stayed for a year our recollection of the the good ole' days of ACC basketball would be very different.
