Unfortunately we have to deal with him……

We have to assume that he won’t withdraw unless there is a deal. We have to give him something. Taking NATO membership off the table for Ukraine is an obvious chip that we should have on the table. NATO membership is arguably a legit complaint they have. What would we have done in 1962 if the USSR had refused to withdraw missiles from Cuba? Likewise recognizing the Crimea takeover. It’s done anyway. A couple of examples that we should be able to live with. I know that Ukraine won’t like it but it’s a better choice than complete destruction. I’m also somewhat skeptical as to Ukraine’s motives in pushing harder and harder to draw us into this conflict. And how does this benefit us? The conflict between good and evil? This is not a battle worth the immense cost that’s looming.
