They also have a story on the Hokies vs Clemson series
I believe the story may be subscribers only, so I won't copy and paste the entire story, but I'll link it below just in case it's not.
Here's just a couple of comments:
"Emma Lemley changes Virginia Tech from very good to elite
"Softball fans fell in love with Keely Rochard’s competitiveness in the circle last season, and she nearly led the Hokies to Oklahoma City. As much as we all appreciate an old school softball workhorse, Rochard may have thrown too much...That’s why Emma Lemley is so important."
"It is only March, but Lemley looks like she can be trusted to start an opening game of a regional and even the second game in a super. That’s an option D’Amour didn’t have last year."
"With the Hokies constantly in motion throughout the weekend, Clemson’s infield had a tough time trying to find an out on ground balls. The aggressive nature ran Virginia Tech out of some scoring opportunities, but the Hokies don’t need a ton of run support with Rochard and Lemley in the circle. Stealing a run or two, even if it means giving up an out, is worth it for them."
And my favorite part of the story:
"Despite its midweek loss to Charlotte, Virginia Tech continues to prove itself as one of the favorites to reach the Women’s College World Series this season."
