This happens even in pick up basketball

If you have ever played against really good players you have probably experienced this like I have. Timing gets thrown off if you play against really athletic players and it can be tough to get separation even with good ball movement. Also the good teams are really good on offense so getting stops can be difficult. As a result it gets in your head that we better score on offense so you start pressing on offense and that can cause you to play less freely on offense and shots that you would normally hit start coming up short or rushed.
