Usually awake and reasonably alert almost immediately. The only time that


would not be true would be if I was really sick, or if maybe I got woken out of a deep sleep after only 2 hours or so.

But even then (we've had the fire alarm go off at 2:30 on a couple of occasions - false alarm), I'm 'alert' almost immediately, but that could be because of the 120 or so decibel fire alarm making me think we're all about to die. But yeah, if I've been asleep for 2 hours and a kid came walking in to say "I threw up" or the dog hopped up on the bed, etc., then I'm a little groggy.
