When my daughter pitched I loved when the opposing coach sent . . .


a PH up. In my view the pitcher always has the advantage the batter's first at bat. I can't ever remember a hit by one. Sure, it works sometimes and makes sense in the 8 and 9 spots but even then most coaches prioritize hitting over defense when writing the starting line up so odds are the PH is not as good as the batter she is replacing.
