I didn’t take a close view at the map, but there may be some choke points closer to Kyiv, and that may be one reason they’re taking it slow.

The 3rd ID’s race to Baghdad had a lot of fast LAVs rolling around and I think that helped provide security to the main body of the lightning strike- while airborne & airmobile operations elsewhere provided additional distractions from the main advance (you could say not even really relevant to this one limited column).
