In track, “performer of the meet” awards are almost always calculated by total points scored. Baxter only competed in one event. She won and scored 10 points. Gorlova competed in two, winning one and placing 6th in another. Thus she scored more points than Baxter and any other female field athlete. Beck won the mens track performer award. The mens field performer was from Miami, the women’s track performer was from FSU
