Some thoughts on VT/NCSt gap.


Things to look for. @hokietony preliminary analysis based on seeding suggests there is about a 16 pt gap between NCSt an VT on team points. 89 vs 73 pts. NCSt looks to place at every weight class and get a lot of placement points. We are not projected to get any placement points at 141, 157, 165, or 197. This really hurts VT's chances to mount a challenge.

IMO some things to look for if we can challenge is:
1) If Gerardi can overcome R. Jack for 3rd that would be a 8 pt swing.
2) VT breaks through to 3rd at one of the 157, 165, or 197 classes.
3) Upset loss for NCSt early.
