As it has been for the whole season, passing has been a negative

Before this is considered a dish on this team and coaching strategies, these are just things that i have noticed through this year. Go Hokies

1. Too many looping perimeter passes that allow defense to adjust quickly, especially against trapping defenses full and half court. I'm a firm believer of flashing to open spaces to create passing lanes in the middle. Posting a guy in the middle allows the defense to adjust before the pass, flashing makes the defense adjust after the pass. This pulls the defense in tighter which will then open perimeter passing. Plus, once you get the ball in the middle you can attack the basket with back cuts or even turn and drives.
2. Not stepping to the pass for the pass receiver, waiting on ball rather than going and getting it.
3. Telegraphing passes with no ball pass fakes to move the defense. Very little fake up, bounce passing to post area.
4. Not creating a passing lane by the receivers. One step either way will open the passing lane.
