Yes, it is. Giving Day is a VT sponsored program to encourage giving...


across all departments of the university.

New this year (I think) is the incentives that if a department or sport ends up in the Top 5 in number of donors, that program gets an additional $3,000 to spend as they choose. $3,000 is a big number for softball.

Ten for the Win was simply something we started to raise money for softball as a result of a challenge as TWHokie. I had no idea that the University Day of Giving was even planned.

I know you have already pledged to Ten for the Win, THANK YOU! - it's greatly appreciated! We have had great support for the fundraiser and it's greatly appreciated. But not everyone participated, so Day of Giving is a chance for them to participate. And some people have participated in both, which is great as well. Giving is always a personal choice.

If you can spare a few dollars for the University Day of Giving, that's great as well.

As I said, giving is an individual decision.
