I imagine Pry said this is what I want to take the job and it included a budget to do the things he believes need to be done.

Whether Fu didn't know that was needed or the admin wouldn't give it to him, don't know and at this point doesn't matter. We now have someone who knows what a modern CFB team needs to be successful and has ensured the resources are there to do that.
