1976 NCAA tournament…the year of UVA running the ACC tournament


They lose to DePaul in round one. VT loses to Western Michigan in round one. VMI makes the elite 8 losing to Rutgers. Ron Carter and Will Bynum were outstanding in the tournament. Rutgers led by Phil Sellers and they were undefeated. Rutgers lost in final four and then lost the ridiculous third place game
