No one is defending Howard.


He made a mistake and the university addressed it to their satisfaction.

That’s all there is to this. You are trying to make it a criminal offense when the parties involved don’t really care to take it to that level. And the cops aren’t interested in tying up their and the court’s resources with something equivalent to a minor sports brawl.

Why don’t you write to the police department in the locality where the incident happened and demand they place charges. Don’t hold your breath waiting for charges to be made.
