But, that’s pretty much how he won his national championship.


After his first round pin, he won his matches with scores of:

4-1
3-1
5-2
7-1 (with 4 near-fall after locking up a cradle starting on top)

He never got taken down. Last night was like the fifth time he has been taken down in three years. Great wrestlers aren’t always dominant on their feet. Great wrestlers don’t give up a lot of points and HH is a great wrestler also. That match was going to be very low scoring and the very definition of a toss-up. Either of those guys are capable of beating Kemerer and Starocci. Last night’s loss has not diminished my confidence in Mekhi’s ability to win a championship.
