Swim update and Commonwealth Clash

This past weekend the H2Okies represented us very well. While the women were unable to topple the reighning national champion UVA swim team our men finished in 3rd place just ahead of UVA. So from a CC point basis that's a 1-1 draw. Last year we finished behind UVA in both categories resulting in a negative 2 point scoring.

There's a great article on hokiesports.com on the meet noting one of our strongest performances in program history. Noting Youssef Ramadan was named the MVP swimmer in the male category for the meet.

Rankins - the women are currently ranked 22nd in the nation and the men are at 8th.

Ramadan won bronze in the 50 free, gold in the 100 fly and gold in the 100 free. He also swam the first leg of the 400 free relay team that won the bronze medal .

NCAA's start a few weeks.
