They do, once they have a diverse population from


all over the country and then from all over the state.

and I don't mean just diverse in race, gender, etc.

A person of any race, economic demographic, gender, etc. etc. from the suburbs of Richmond or NOVA is different than their exact same counterpart from say Atlanta, Dallas, Charlotte, Chicago, San Fran - or even from a whole battery of small towns.

Between NOVA, Richmond and the 757 you could pick an entire qualified freshman class that checks all the diversity boxes on the forms - except they won't be diverse from a national perspective.
