With called strikes. It is a no win situation. You can’t look at strikes and you can’t hit a ball up in your eyes. Every once in a while a pitcher makes a mistake. In Fouts’ case, the occasional mistake is that a rise will lay flat. You have to capitalize on those mistakes and hope that they lead to a run or two.
