Gene Smith said there has not been any conversation about keeping the Big Ten’s two divisions in place but shuffling them around. Divisions will either stay as they are or be eliminated.

Asked if he thinks the Big Ten should or should not have divisions, Gene Smith quips, “I think Ohio State should just be picked to go every year.”

Says Big Ten athletic directors have discussed the possibility of no divisions but no decisions have been made yet.
