There is a crap-ton of good bourbon for under $50

Taste being purely subjective, of course, there's stuff on the shelf of most any ABC you walk into that is better than Buffalo Trace. It's a fine bourbon, and a terrific value for the price, but it's more of a hype monster than anything.
