What a great experience it was, especially being a Hokie fan! Went to all five games with VIP seats and have a few thoughts. This is a very, very good team and has a chance to progress deep into the tournament. Lemley was extremely impressive, she's a true freshman and it showed at times but she is going to be a Stud for the next few years. There was a lot of discussion about the illegal pitches, but was much better by game two. This team doesn't get rattled being behind late in the game, they keep their composure and figure out a way to win. Coaching adjustments were spot on and got a grand slam out of one.

Defense was typical first of the season miscues but there were two great plays made by Lawter behind the plate and a run saving catch from centerfield by Trull in the Kentucky game. Keely was Keely!

And I got meet Hokie Chip! Fantastic weekend all around, I have a feeling this is going to be a very special season!
