Serious answer variety of thoughts and questions...

first where do you live? Do you live within about 1500 feet of a 5G tower? Most of the 5G offerings currently are in city centers, etc. with high population density where 5G can reach.

5G is not really "new" technology, it is using 6Ghz and higher spectrum which allows much more data, the issue is it is easy to block and or distort the signal resulting in requiring a bunch of small cell towers to transmit the signal. For comparison 4G can cover miles with 1 antenna and can get up to 1GBps speed, more than enough.

While they are advertising 5G they are only guaranteeing effectively 4G LTE speeds. My guess is unless you are sitting right next to the tower you are not going to see 5G speeds today.

Ask again in 2-3 years, may get a different answer.

See article for more information.
