The probe body is too thick. Not really an issue with a pork shoulder or other kind of large roast, but kinda useless for a steak, pork chop, or chicken breast.

For something that comes with fancy software, you'd think it would know that meat continues to cook for a bit once you remove the heat. It only tells you when the ideal temperature is reached and forgets it will go up another ten degrees after you remove heat. Certainly something you can adapt too, but by gawd, it should be a smart thermometer and it ain't. If I tell it medium-rare, my steak should NOT come out medium if I follow it's directions.

But I also found the temperature to be off by a few degrees. The charging station to be slightly flaky. It doesn't seem to hold up to high-heat searing, and the bluetooth connectivity is nowhere close to what they advertise.

I wanted to love it based on how it's promoted, but it was pretty disappointing at every turn.

One caveat...I was an early adopter. I think I got mine directly from the kickstarter. Maybe they've worked out some bugs since then.
