I'll take a shot at predictions ...

#20 Latona vs. NR Patrick McCormick: McCormick's only win vs. a decent wrestler was ... Joey Prata. He's lost to a lot of mediocre guys. MD 4-0

#5 Korbin Myers vs. #20 Brian Courtney: Courtney is solid and beat Sam Hillegas twice last year. He's not at Myers' level, but hard to call for an MD. 7-0

#22 Collin Girardi vs. NR Dylan Cedeno: Cedeno is 3-4 with no good wins this year (although last year he beat Kai Orine). Dec 10-0

#5 Bryce Andonian vs. #32 Jerod Verkleeran: JV beat #13 Demas (OK) and lost to both Sammy Sasso and Brayton Lee in SV .... in 2020. Coming off three straight ACC losses and BA is wrestling well. MD 14-0, but of course with BA could be 16-0

#28 Connor Brady vs. #26 Jake Keating: Connor hasn't looked good lately and Keating seems to be wrestling well. He beat #13 Ed Scott recently and only lost to O'Connor 6-4. Dec. Hoos 14-3

NR Clayton Ulrey vs. #23 Justin McCoy: McCoy is 12-1 but hasn't beaten any ranked guys. Lost to Thomas Bullard 4-1 recently and beat Connor Brady 3-2 last year. After a rough start Ulrey is 10-1 in his last 11 matches and his only loss was 5-1 to Wentzel. I have to pick our guy in a dec. 17-3

#3 Mekhi Lewis vs Justin Phillips: Phillips is a 15-8 freshman with no impressive wins and consecutive losses to Lautt, Hidlay (fall) & Finesilver. MD 21-3

#14 Hunter Bolen vs #25 Michael Battista: Battista is 14-3 but was majored by Hidlay and Kane. Bolen just isn't the same wrestler he was in '20 but should still win this one. 24-3

#30 Junk Yard Dog vs. #16 Jay Aiello: Aiello is 32 years old, in his 12th year wrestling for UVa and is 9-2 this season. He gets revenge for those two losses to Jared Haught in '18. 24-6

#14 Nathan Traxler vs #32 Quinn Miller: Miller has no ranked wins this year and split with Catka last year. Dec. 27-6
