My notes as a I rewatch the game.


1.) As I said in an earlier post, this is one of the most intense games I've seen for the full 40 minutes. Both teams wanted this one badly and played like it.

2.) What a great broadcast crew. Shulman's voice tells you it's a big-time game. Cory Alexander kept himself dialed back. They told great stories and were very complimentary of VT and Cassell.

3.) Early in the second half, Cassell was losing its mind, and Shulman said he wasn't sure he'd been in a louder place all season.

4.) This game produced a ton of exciting plays for the Hokies. VT is a half-court, slow-tempo team, but they got a lot of dunks, great passes, and some great blocks.

6.) Aluma was a man on a mission. He made 10 shots. No one else made more than TWO. That's crazy.

7.) When VT was losing, we ran the stats about how bad they were in the final five minutes. I think we need to re-run those stats for the winning streak.

8.) This is the second game in a row where the Hokies broke an opponent's four-game winning streak.
