Everything below is predicated on Lou winning vs UNC at least. If not, things get too complicated to predict, and in fact VT has less chance at Top 4 seed. If UNC beats Lou, for example, they could end up 13-5 and leave VT behind on the 2nd tie breaker if VT doesn't beat either NCSU or Lou. So root for Lou over UNC Thurs and over ND (for the heck of it out so we can finish 3rd instead of 4th) on 2/27.

UNC is likely to lose to Lou, giving them 6 losses. If so and VT takes care of business vs Syr and Mia then that eliminates UNC. If UNC wins out we will lose a tie break against them unless we beat either NCSU or Lou.

I previously forgot GT, and they are favored in all the rest of their games. So they have a good chance to end up with 14 wins, while VT does not. We do own the tie breaker over them and as long as UNC loses again and VT wins twice we only have to finish above one of GT or ND. Therefore, root for ND to beat GT on Thurs so that GT can only get to 13 wins!

We do not have the tie break over ND, and even if they beat GT they probably lose to Lou and end up at 12-5 unless they make up the uva game. If they make up the uva game or beat Lou they would then end up 13+ wins and ace us out. But we still get 4th place over UNC and GT.

Conclusion: if VT doesn't beat Lou or NCSU, then Lou must beat UNC and ND must beat GT on Thurs at 6:00/8:00. Tune in!
