K and Bennett are the clear cut tier 1 coaches. Nobody else is on their level in terms of current & recent production, and K is obviously another level entirely when it comes to career achievements.

Boeheim and Brey you can make an argument for tier 1, but I kind of lean tier 2. Boeheim’ s tier 1 case is more as a lifetime achievement type thing than his current results, of course. Brey has been good to very good for a very long time. That’s not easy to do.

I think in the “you are what you are, and it’s tier 2” camp, you have Hamilton and Larranaga. You can make an argument for Brownell based on having some on and off success at a complete non basketball school.
