Friend of mine helped marshal Graham through teen-hood. His family situation wasn't 1000% great. Shayne ate many meals at my friend's table. I'm sure that my friend's daughter being real good looking had nothing to do with it.

Nah. My buddy always said Shayne was special. He took me to see a Cougar's HS game and I got to see Shayne play. Kid could hit from anywhere on the field, it seemed.
