What could the ACC have done to alter the pecking order

/ conference payout? I don’t see how with this conference makeup and no realistic expansion options that would make a difference.

Shorter contract? You just shortened the conference’s lifespan and according Roth we would get less if we went to market.

Conference Network earlier? You really think we’d get better carriage than ESPN for the steaming pile of crap inventory available on the channel? Remember, football drives the bus. And we went at a date that would allow ESPN to force providers into taking it.

Different expansion teams, divisions, etc.? Not a serious conversation here unless we are talking unattainable schools like Penn State.

Not directing this to you but I see the Swofford bashing - Will went at it today - and am still looking for meaning, viable alternatives even with 100% hindsight.
