PSA tests are just not that good an indicator


of prostate cancer. They are useful information. But way too many factors can influence PSA numbers. An example is you shouldn't have sex for three days before a PSA tests. PCP's don't tell you that. My urologist says he puts more faith in a DRE because he can feel for lumps, texture, hardness and etc. You should do both to be on the safe side. And have a urologist do it. Not a PCP. They are far more experienced. Not ragging on you Roswell. But I have a lot of personal experience with Prostate issues and just trying to inform.
