Anyone follow Portland enough to know if he will factor into future plans?

Looks like a couple of their guards are out with injuries.

I don't know much about Portland or the culture around that team. Is this viewed as a positive move for him? He got a decent amount of playing time in New Orleans this season, but that team and ownership seems to be less than optimal.
