but still very interesting. Lee Childs even admits that he would have changed a few things about Reacher's character (e.g., he really should have been enlisted versus an officer, given his ornery nature). I'm only 4 episodes in but pleasantly surprised. Tom Cruise is probably underrated as an actor, but it's hard to overstate how central to the plot Reacher's physical presence is. It was just impossible to see Tom Cruise consistently intimidating people walking into a room. This actor is 6'2", and Mrs. Pfishe is pleased with his appearance. ;)

@westyhokie, I don't recall all the details from the book, but it's possible those inconsistencies are in there, too, rather than a screenwriter's oversight or liberty. However, it's great to see they are dedicating a whole season to the first book in the series.
