I’m somewhat sympathetic to the athletes. They’re young, devote tons of


hours to their sport, aren’t worldly wise and, to the extent they think about China at all, probably get their information from sources that look the other way at China’s atrocities because they’re beholden to them financially.

It will be interesting to see if this experience changes a lot of our winter athletes’ views toward China for the long haul.
