Speaking of series and dark comedies in particular The Woman in the House

Across the Street from the Girl in the Window had a very weird sense of humor. Being as it was take your son or daughter to work day and the lead actress tells her husband, who is a criminal psychiatrist, to take their 9 year old daughter to work with him. That day he is interviewing a Jeffrey Dahmer type serial killer and the daughter is in the room with them both. He apparently gets distracted by the jailer and has to leave the room and forgets his daughter is still in the room with the serial killer who kills and eats her causing the lead character/ mother to plunge into alcoholism. I guess that is kind of funny.
