Acts/promotors finally fought back against the scalpers

And by that, I mean they learned from the scalpers what folks were willing to pay for tickets to their concerts and started charging it themselves. Used to be that tickets would top off around $100-150 for the front section. Now, though, those are $500 and up -- because people will pay that. And the artists figure, "why not get that money for ME instead of selling at $100 for the sake of my fans but seeing scalpers gobble those up and resell them?"

So now there are all these special and VIP and premium level seats that are all jacked up. But once you get into the second-level or even the lawn if applicable, the tickets are at least a LITTLE more reasonable.
