I went once. I was really at an event on the Disney property


and everyone wanted to go into the park, so I went too.

I should clarify my opinion first by saying what I like about amusement parks is thrill rides. And I think anyone will admit Disney is a bit weak as a thrill ride park. A long weekend bouncing between Busch Gardens and Carowinds is a MUCH better thrill ride experience than Disney.

I felt like the whole point of the Disney park is to provide an immersive experience. For that, they totally rocked it. Seeing a 100% full scale Millennium Falcon parked in the Mos Eisley space port is an absolute spectacle. Almost indescribable if you're a Star Wars fan. But the 3D ride they have where you pilot and gun the Falcon is honestly unspectacular. The set pieces are amazing, but the ride itself was meh.

And I felt that way everywhere else in the park I went. The visuals are stunning and the immersion is complete. But if you make even half an attempt to peel back the facade and do anything of substance, it's a bit disappointing. I feel like the park relies on you being star-struck and totally awed that you don't notice the things to do there aren't all that much fun (at least compared to alternatives at similar price points).
