Zero information here as well, but I wonder if it is a

bruised tailbone something that happened in the previous collision and hasn't healed.

Don't laugh, I knew a kid who had his fractured from an impact...from the front.

Was playing soccer and as he went to clear a ball a kid on the opposite team ran full force into him with his knee extended. The kid that caused the impact was shorter than my friend which created an unfortunate angle.

Not sayin', just sayin'...
