as if it was their right... and some trash is accidentally dropped, but there are probably far more people who see the trash, and don't pick it up, knowing it would be the right thing to do, because, it is "not their problem." or "Not their job" Enough people do that, and it becomes their problem.

For the record, we pick up trash on our hikes and pack it out. Something I've taught my kids.
