No the answer is fix tired!

There is a consistent pattern to our close losses and even some of our close wins where we fade down the stretch.

In support of Tired thesis:
Memphis loss off 2 days rest
@Maryland win off of 4 days rest
Xavier loss off 1 day rest
WF loss off 2 days rest
@Dayton loss off 3 days rest & long travel
St. Bonnie win off of 4 days rest
NCSU loss off of Covid break guys sick to much break lack of practice no in game shape
UVA loss off 7 days rest I'd argue too much rest needed game to get back in game shape quicker
ND win off 2 days rest (however at home and off short uva trip)
@NCSU win off of 3 days rest (short trip to Raleigh)
@BC loss off of 2 days rest (long trip to Boston)
@UNC loss off 1 day rest (if I recall game was one two posession affair until about mid-way through second half)
Miami loss off 1 day rest

I think us losing too many close games fading down the stretch is as simple as too Tired!

Some Coach can do better perhaps:
1) Better conditioning pre-season
2) Playing more guys more minutes, however, fine line as starters are starters for a reason may lose due to mistakes by bench guys.
,
Some are just bad luck,
1) Losing Radford so late, too late to pick-up quality wing from portal.
2) Players getting Covid having two games canceled.
3) As a result of #2 having to play too many games in too few days.

I'd argue our under performance vs expectations is explained as simply as guys are too tired at the end of games.

Sometimes, the reason is not complex but simple and has no fix other than time.
