Opposing teams scout what you do, overplaying passing lanes


Teams are trying to jump passes on key areas of the court. Miami was overplaying ball reversals and wing entries pushing the offense out further than it wants to be.

How do you beat that? Backdoors. Instead of stepping out further for passes, ball fake on the passes and cut backdoor. Spread the court to take away help defenders. Do that a few times early in the game and watch how they would back off on the pressure. No defender wants to get beat with a layup.
